Senior Quantitative Developer

Location: Budapest (Hybrid - 1 day in office per week)

Position Overview: Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantitative Developer to join the team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in quantitative analysis, Python programming, and experience with OpenAI and AWS. This role involves developing sophisticated algorithms, data models, and tools to support quantitative research and trading strategies. As a senior member of the team, you will play a critical role in shaping the technology stack and driving innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement quantitative models and algorithms using Python.

  • Leverage OpenAI technologies to integrate advanced AI capabilities into the systems.

  • Utilize AWS services to build, deploy, and maintain scalable and robust infrastructure.

  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other developers to develop comprehensive solutions.

  • Conduct data analysis and research to support quantitative strategies and decision-making processes.

  • Optimize and enhance existing models and algorithms for improved performance and accuracy.

  • Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and quantitative finance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in quantitative development, preferably within a financial or technological environment.

  • Proficiency in Python programming and experience with relevant libraries (e.g., NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn).

  • Hands-on experience with OpenAI technologies and their practical applications.

  • Extensive experience with AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a collaborative mindset.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.

  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in quantitative finance or algorithmic trading.

  • Knowledge of other programming languages and frameworks

  • Understanding of cloud-native architectures and microservices.

  • Familiarity with big data technologies and tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
