Azure Data Engineer
Job Description:
You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the data infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. This role involves working closely with development and analytics teams to ensure data pipelines are robust, scalable, and secure.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other Azure data services.
Create and manage Azure SQL Databases, Data Lakes, and other storage solutions.
Optimize and troubleshoot data workflows to ensure efficiency and reliability.
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to provide clean, usable data for analysis and reporting.
Implement data governance and security best practices to ensure data integrity and compliance.
Monitor and manage data storage costs and performance.
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Azure data services and incorporate new features as appropriate.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on Azure data services.
Strong knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management.
Familiarity with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
Experience with programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, startup environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate).
Experience with other Azure services such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Power BI, and Azure Machine Learning.
Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices.
Experience in a creative industry or startup environment.
